I was aggravated when FEMA denied us any assistance, but we are young, tough and resourceful. We also know that we have a home to return to and that there will be work for those willing and able. These folks and many like them have lost everything, and are too old or unhealthy to start over.

  1. I am still very concerned that this aspect of FEMA’s inadequacy is not really getting news coverage. There are thousands of people who are more than qualified for the $2K, and now plus, aid. The twit at the top of the pyramid said that all evacuees would get that aid, at the very same time it was being denied to them. These stories need to go to all the news agencies and all of elected officials.
