Day 295: Dr. John wears local gear

Jun 19, 2006 by

Jon Pareles at the Bonnaroo Music Festival – New York Times

Dr. John was dressed as the Night Tripper in a feathered headdress and a fur-trimmed cape with mysterious markings.

Well the feathered headdress was designed and constructed by my finacee, Alexis Stahl, and the cape with the veve’s and snakes on it was created by Virtu (Veronica Russell). Those girls are flat out dangerous!

I wanted to say that I Goggled Alexis Stahl to try to see more headdresses and the 5th thing that came up was “The Girl Who Gave Birth to Rabbits.” I think that is the most interesting thing that has come up for anyone, ever!

    Gorgeous headdress.

  2. She does not have a prescence on the net as yet. WE are working on getting a good body of her work together and online in the very near future. She does printmaking (litho, intaglio, etc.), painting, multimedia, ceramics, and (as you can see) bad ass headdresses.

I will be doing a feature on Veronica in the near future, she is a brilliatn costume designer as well as an accomplished actress (She missed the Storm because she was doing a one woman show Off Broadway….

I can also attest that my fiancee has birthed no rabbits that I am aware of, but I’m sure she will love the comment!
