  1. Congrats and happy birthday. I’ll be looking down the barrel of the old XL in a few months myself.

Remember, you’re not an old man — you’re a survivor.

Sir Lokes-A-Lot the IV, of clan Munro:

You are forever etched in my memory as the inexcusably amped, weirdly informed, louder than tact, bookend-eared, destined for greatness, briskly-gaited, worried look-inspiring, cat-wrangling, impeccably tasteful, eight-pointed-star-idea-into-the-ground-beating, alternately ponytailed and cueballed twenty-eight-year-old little comic book anti-villain come to life who first made me ask myself “egads, who the f*ck is this joker” so many years ago.

    Happy 40th birthday!

  3. Pableaux!
That is quite probably the best compliment I have ever received! Hopefully we will see you at the wedding, eh? You are hugely missed, sir!

    B,
we should do Creole Creamery this weekend (if you and Xy have time).

  4. Happy birthday. Try as you might you’ll never catch up to me.

  5. Happiest of happies, Loki! I’ll be joining you and Editor B. in that decade next year.

When can I buy you a drink, ami?
