Post March Interlude

There is little I can say as I sit and listen to the sirens (7 since returning home now) so I will be brief.

Bart and Karen are my new heroes, brilliant job giving them what for.

I will leave it to someone far more talented than I to state:

Marvin Gaye: What’s Going On

Mother, mother
There’s too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother
There’s far too many of you dying
You know we’ve got to find a way
To bring some lovin’ here today

Father, father
We don’t need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we’ve got to find a way
To bring some lovin’ here today

Picket lines and picket signs
Don’t punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
Oh, what’s going on
What’s going on
Yeah, what’s going on
Ah, what’s going on

Loki! I have wondered about you for years. I don’t know if you remember me but we worked together for years–Doug Miller’s girlfriend. We had to leave N.O. after the storm and are now living in a terrible, racist part of Missouri. I’m glad you’ve taken advantage of such an outlet. Your blog is great, while appropriately depressing. Keep it going and be in touch. Best, Allison

Allison! How could I forget? Tell Doug I send my best, hope he’s playing out a lot. Funny I was just listening to some Cronk…
