		<description>LOL, were you aware that this is a picture of the memorial I created after Katrina as part of our toxic art exhibit? It's still there (tho I need to do a little weeding)... For anyone who wants to see it, it' on the neutral ground of the 4100 block of St. Claude.

The crosses were actually originally part of our weekly anti-war/support out troops vigils, found them washed up at the bottom of the stairs after Katrina and turned them into the memorial. 

Ironically, my husband was flipping through tv channels and came across Prof. Van Heerden (the guy quoted in the above sign) giving a lecture on the levees and hurricane protection, and apparently he is now using a picture of our memorial in his presentation... Hope to get to meet him one of these days.</description>
