I Read the News Today, Oh Boy…
Just a quick note to prepare us all a little better for Hurricane Season this year;
Lee Zurik, of WWLTV New Orleans, reveals flood walls in St. Bernard Parish were repaired by stuffing news paper in to cracks, over two years ago. The paper repair remains to this day. The Army Corp of Engineers, “stands by it’s work”. Read it here.

With no recourse or legal accountability for the Corps this is what we can expect, the same shoddy oversight and deliberate mismanagement that cause the levees to fail after Katrina.
Remember kids, the part of the storm that hit NOLA was only Category 2, the levees were suposed to hold Category 3 or less.
I think that this sort of incident is grounds for charges of treason, but I’m old fashioned like that.

Dear god, they would have done better stuffing the levees with Lee Zurik’s discarded eyebrow hairs. At least the heavy gel coating makes them waterproof.
Paper. Seriously? Motherf*cking paper. Just when you think it can’t get any crazier . . . what’s next? Restoring the wetlands by packing them with styrofoam?
