It smacks of special interests paying for special treatment, which is fine, until they decide to become the ‘norm’ (whateverthehell that is) and corral everybody into their system.

The public school system in this country is becoming too horrible for words. From metal detectors to teachers being beaten in class. The solution is NOT to abandon it in some elitist frenzy and make charter schools that don’t address all families the only acceptable route.

That mearly condemns any child and/or family who can’t get in, for whatever reason, to a hellish exclusion, and poor education.

There seems to be a lot of that lately, doesn’t there?
Certainly there’s some method of providing on all levels without making one groups preferences in to state law.
