(New Orleans, LA) — A new report says New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has regularly charged his meals to taxpayers. The “Times Picayune” says from September to January, Nagin charged an average of nearly 100-dollars per meal for 70 meals to a city paid credit card. That included taking his wife out for their wedding anniversary. Nagin is on a trade trip to South Africa and has not had any comment. |

Unethical, conflicts of Interest, Fiduciary irresponsibility… all excellent traits in today’s politician.
What I really want to know is how much Stock in Cox Communication is held by Ray and Co. A one time “public” company, now privately held… a monopoly on cable TV and the former local pres. of the company now mayor… smells like more Duck L’merde to me… or at least the type conflict of interest that would have him either recuse himself as mayor or divest himself of any financial interest in a company that has a monopolistic franchise with the city he forgets to care about.
Why again was he re-elected… why has he not been forced from office ? Maybe all that “heroism” after Katrina… i dunno, I think this city should be ashamed…
