Keating Economics: McCain & the Making of a Financial Crisis
The current economic crisis demands that we understand John McCain’s attitudes about economic oversight and corporate influence in federal regulation. Nothing illustrates the danger of his approach more clearly than his central role in the savings and loan scandal of the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Both major party candidates are in bed with big finance and voted for the most recent step towards global socialism. Anyone see how the rest of the world’s governments are following our lead and bailing out struggling financial institutions? Pathetic! END THE FED 11/22 at the Fed on St. Charles!

It’s interesting to me that the McCain camp is playing down his involvement with a scam that ripped off 27,000 people (that’s right: twenty seven THOUSAND people) of their life savings, by saying McCain “made a mistake”, even though Keating went to prison for his part of the obviously criminal behavior, all the while, his idiot hand puppet cheerleader, Sarah Palin is caterwalling about Obama “paling around with terrorists” because he knew Bill Ayers in Chicago.
Keep in mind that, born in 1961, Barack Obama was about 8 years old during the hayday of the Weatherman, and neither he nor Ayers went to prison for their work on coordinating community efforts in Chicago’s south side.
McCain, on the otherhand, had to answer to a congressional commitee and escaped jail time because he was seen as a hapless dupe, although Charles Keating got the orange jumpsuit award for several years.
While I agree with Trav’s comment, and believe the whole shebang of the fed reserve, et al, should be re-evaluated, let it start with getting rid of idiot girl, who will spout any lie stuck in her mouth by her her Owners, and by painting John McCain for what he really is; A failed football star who tried to reclaim glory as a fighter pilot, crashing planes and getting caught, who now wants to take out his frustrations and make his name by marrying rich, buddying up to oil barons, canoodling with the super wealthy and trying to become President so he can play the Top Gun war hero he’s always claimed he was.
If he ever does pull Sarah Palin’s nose out of his ass, he’s liable to drain out, disolving into a puddle of hate & metamucil.

Good Points m’Lord, however it may be time to look beyond combo meal #1 Obama/Biden and combo meal #2 McCain/Palin. Before last week I was all about Obama/Biden. No more. There are alternatives. As I am sure you know, Ron Paul, Bob Barr, Cynthia Mckinney and Ralph Nader are all running and several will be on the ballot in Louisiana. Unfortunately the Commission on Presidential Debates has not recognized consistent 3rd party participation. Considering this and the fact that 3rd party candidates cannot afford all the TV time that the majors do, 3rd party appeal is not as widespread as it might other wise be if people …..oh I don’t know…….READ MORE. How do we get out of this mess by doing the same thing we have been doing for generations (read vote for candidates owned by the super-rich)?

This happens every four years. Folks like yourself & I question the two party system all over again. I wish there were more noise about this when the ‘national news’ is leaving Ron Paul out of the televised portion of the debates…
HOWEVER: At this late date, turning in a vote for Bob Barr, Ron Paul or Ralph Nader may seem like a dedicated stand in The War Against Two Party Clones, but nobody is coming to save you, Luke.
You’re just insuring a better tally for John McCain.
Sad and simple, but as true as gravity.
Anyone sick to death of the crap of the last eight years had better vote Obama/Biden.
I’ll bet my life and both my testicals that Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Ral;ph nader have absolutely zero chance of winning this election.
If you don’t want to to say ‘President Palin’ in the next few years, suck it up til next time and vote the Democratic ticket.
The start on a more-than-two-party campaign immediately.
Doing it now is like fucking for virginity.

this just in… my favorite new email joke…
Dear friends,
There are fewer than two months until the election,
an election that will decide the next President of the United States.
The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans.
To show our solidarity as Americans, let’s all get together and
show each other our support for the candidate of our choice.
It’s time that we come together, Democrats and Republicans alike.
If you support the policies and character of Senator Obama, please drive with your
headlights on during the day.
If you support John McCain, please drive with your headlights off at night.
Thank you for your participation.
