What is Truth and What is God?
I’ve been trying to work up the gumption to write an incendiary post about the asinine state of law and order in New Orleans. I just do not have it in me right now. You can go to NOLA.com to read all about how a study released today ranks us number one in the nation for violent crime or you can hit the Foreign Policy site and find us number three in the world for murders. Either way it is far from a rosy picture.
Instead I find my thoughts wandering in a more contemplative direction, as sometimes happens when death enters the equation. With that in mind here is a little clip I’d like to share that contains some wisdom, ignore any knee-jerk negative reaction to science fiction and listen to the dialogue presented here.

World leader in violent crime? Perhaps becuase we are too soft on crimminals.
After Katrina NOLA looked like Mogadishu, Somalia with armed bandits taking the streets at night. Bush sent in US Navy Seals and they scored 72 confirmed kills on armed crimminals. This is how you deal with urban crime. I feel every police department in America should have anti-gang units authorized to use deadly force as a primary mission statement. If you are a known Blood, Crip, Gansta Disciple or other scum, the police should have the power to liquidate you on sight and leave your body as a message to the rest of the scum that the days of drugs and gangs are over. All public housing must be bulldozed because these are swamps of crimminal activity that must be dried-up. If you want to have law and order in America it will require all of us to make sacrifice and realize that the process will not be pretty.

The quote above that Lord David presents is a perfectly valid opinion, it is also the type of talk that is making me consider the requests I’ve received to have you banned.

I have no empathy for crimminals. Just how do you propose we stop crime? Another social program? Perhaps counseling? These people are violent crimminals that will kill you for a few dollars. How do you not get it? You make the cops sound like the bad guys and the crimminals as products of their environment that can be fixed. No. Bad product requires quality control (the police) to put a reject tag on it and send it to the heap. I have never met people like you. I simply cannot understand how such educated people assume a postion that is illogical. The people I hang with are not skin-heads or Klansmen…the are average middle-class Americans and our positions are the same. I think you are the ones who are in the minority in this country. Remember, Obama supports the death penalty and his Chief of Staff is a former Israeli commando. First of all Obama did not win by a landslide. Reagan won by a landslide in 1984, Nixon won by a landslide in 1972, and FDR won by a landslide in 1936. Whatever candidate the Democrats picked would have beaten the GOP candidate this year. Obama is a cult leader. I saw people cry at the convention in Denver, I saw video of Obama youth in berets and uniforms, I saw a video of little children singing about how great Obama is going to be for America. Hopefully when they get to the bottom of Blagojevich case in Illinois and connect dots to Obama people. Now, when it comes to gangs in America you must declare war on them, all of them. There are people in LA, Chicago, New York, and NO that are afraid to walk the streets because of gangs and violence. These are evil people and deserve no quarter to be given. My friends are not imaginary and I gave up drugs years ago. I notice however that you are a puffer of the herb and I think it has clouded your judgement. There is real evil in this world and it is not the ineptitude of George Bush. We must clean-up our society. The answer is not to have a big drug induced circle jerk lovefest like Woodstock.
