Obama Healthcare Supporters Holding Press Conference in NOLA

Jul 21, 2009 by

10am Tomorrow, Wednesday July 22nd Obama supporters are gathering to promote Obama’s socialized medicine package at the steps of the Federal Building on the corner of Magazine and Poydras.  Leading the event is liberal state representative Karen Carter-Peterson and spokesperson for Obama’s grassroots organization Steve Walker.

I would suggest that people show up and make their voices heard before the national press.

  1. Barack Obama will never say to your face what he actually plans to do -or achieve- with these huge new government programs.

Rather, you get some specious auditory performance with styrofoam props to wow the plebes, like the tacky Greek columns in Denver. To him, the revolutionary ends justify the Alinskyite means- so the Dear Leader just tells you whatever he needs to, he knows what’s best for you anyway.

And the truth is that Obama is out to nationalize health care.. they’ll be no private insurance industry left after five years of Obamacare… but of course he’s lying about it.

As for the American public, the reality that Obama is not up to the job seems to finally be setting-in; the poll numbers are now headed steadily south- is he already facing his Waterloo on this legislation?

  2. Oh, I just love this sort of pap.

It’s funny how neo-cons are ripping at the seams to condemn Barrack Obama’s administration after (count on your fingers from January 20th, like Sean Hannity) 6 months.

6 months in to the first George W. Bush administration, “W” had taken more vacation time than any other U.S. President in history had taken during their first entire year. “Give him time” they crowed.

8 years later, we’re in a new deeper level of War & Ecomnoic ruin.
And the New Guy has to fix it in six months.

    “It’s Obama’s Fault!” comes the cry. “He’s a liar!”
If you know he’s lying, prove it.
What is the truth and how do YOU know it when no one else does?

I know, I know, we should return to the good old days when we invaded sovereign nations, hedge funding was uncontrolled and water boarding was on the school lunch program.

After all, as long as your portfolio is leveling off a bit, and gas is cheap enough to wheel out the Mercedes once in a while, who cares if half the population will get sick, become invalid, or even die for lack of mediacl care at some point? They deserve to. Why? Because they’re poor, dammit. And unsightly, if you ask around the Club. Really, now.

America was a much better place when Rich Old White Men ruled everything and we didn’t have to think too much. After all, isn’t that what we pay all those big bucks to Rush Limbaugh & Sean Hannity for? To think for us?
Can’t we just parrot what THEY say?
    God know’s it’s true.
    Every single word.

  3. I’m further amused by the fact that Reaganite Republican is quoting Sen. DeMint (R-South Carolina) here, yet makes no mention of the source in this letter.

DeMint is also quoted as saying, “I am not going to be able to persuade my colleagues to do the right things, so I am just going to have to create pain.”

Both of these quotes stem from Senator DeMints recent press engagements, probably aroused by the desire to sell his new book about his fear of Socialism.

If your nightmares aren’t real, well, hell, just hang a sign on somebody and open fire. It’s okay. I mean, Dick Cheney shot his lawyer, right?

Why on earth providing unilateral health care is “Is D-Day for freedom in America” as DeMint puts it, is beyond me.

Unless you’re getting wind up your skirt from the Insurance Company racketeers and their fawning lobbiests.
And your book deal is floundering.

Suddenly I realize why Raygun Republican didn’t want to credit the quote. Why associate oneself with an ultra conservative crank, when you can just steal his handiwork?

Sean Hannity, this guy wants your job.
