Peace! The blogroll is way out of date because I’ve been:

1) Moving across country
2) having several hundred dollars worth of back end work done to the site
3)Helping organize Rising Tide
4) I’m a yutz
5) The Goon Squad Wont let me.

The whole thing is up for a complete rebuild in about a week, don’t get your panties in a bunch, I love you all.

I’m so sorry I missed all of this.
Especially the ‘Thug Dame’, et al.

How on earth can one expect to stop getting called a creep by, well, acting like a creep? And creep from a 1940′s film noir, at that. Silly.

It’s unfortunate that New Olreans is still struggling under Thug Rule; from the cops who intimidate with false reports and senseless arrests, to the city planners buying up all the property they can muster in developments they control, and of course, the Mayor, hiring high end yankee defense lawyers to bury his obvious crimes, and doing it on the people’s dime. It’s disgusting and sad.

Does this Daya Naef person intend on having her brute squad beat up everybody on the playground? Good luck with that. Some of us bite.

And a note to Termite & Lipwrap; for what it’s worth, I’m not on the blog roll here, either. But then, who can afford body guards these days, anyway? I’m still using the garden hose.

termite…??!? Are you trying to kill me? “Me” the voice of reason? Oh wow…well maybe regarding lil’ things like why folks that rock don’t respond immediately. LOL! I am a bit of a Pollyanna, though…which has seen me put up w/wretched boyfriends far too long thinking, “they are really better than that…” I think I may well have finally dispatched my inner-Pollyanna this last go-round. Sorry, termite, just finished putting the little guy to bed.

Neither Ms Naef nor Mr Ellis, or their two companions, did much more than pay the fee at the door, get their badges on, and watch Harry Shearer doing his thing. They weren’t in much of a position to do anything more than watch, listen, and possibly ask a question. And if that’s all they were there to do, which I hope it was, I hope they got the idea that we were all there because this is our city, too.

…but from what is reported on AZ about these folks, and from some eyewitness accounts from folks who observed these people and the vibe they sent out, there was some potential there for things to get hairy.

And hey, my blog’s not on the blogroll, either. We BOTH need to petition the webmaestro to change things there, or we too can get some intimidators. ;-)

Yeah, Adrastos mentioned that to me and Kelly and I was like “wha’????”
The goonsquad (sadly lacking a good-hearted Fezzik) needs to get lost – the administration has failed on pretty much every attempt at citizens applying for the promised transparency and a public discussion/resolution of problems. And it’s time for them all to go, preferably to get lost in an alligator farm’s feeding schedule.
(and if it has been actually every attempt – please correct me, I have an inner-Pollyanna to smite – I didn’t want to assume they failed every time, but I fear it probably is so.)

“a few big guys”? These large and beefy individuals exuded an air of “I’m going to kick someone’s ass” quite palpably. As MC and production monkey I actually came close to calling NOPD due to fear of violence.

It speaks volumes that a goon squad is the response to allegations that if untrue should be easily disproved with facts rather than threats. Especially when the posts on the anonymous Zombie’s blog begin qwith requests for factual refutation.

The age of concrete galoshes and physical intimidation needs to come to an end in this city and I wholeheartedly endorse the Zombie for dragging their dirt into the daylight. The dawn of the social media age is upon us and with it transparency is coming whether the dishonest like it or not. Only the dishonest need fear it, even those who arrive with “muscle.”

And if Ms. Naef has a problem with the posts here on HumidCity or my own input on them she can come up to Cincinnati where the rule of law actually applies and talk to me directly. I’ll happily webcast the conversation.
