So says an unopposed motion to continue filed by the Mefferts’ lawyers yesterday. How hard is it to stand before a judge and pretend you’re not guilty? Sorry, I meant plead not guilty. Fucking buffoons.

I found myself repeating something today on NOLA.com. The kids over there are begging the TP to post a photo of St Pierre. I asked when they’d stop asking for things which do not exist. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Mark St Pierre is a Captain Tuttle – he exists only on paper and through statements from his “lawyer.” He was invented by Meffert and Nagin as a “fall guy” in case the shit hit the fan. When the Feds show up to arrest him at his Belle Chase home, they will find it to be an empty lot. His offices will be dusty and barren filled only with old phone books and chinese takeout menus. And the majority of the profits from Mefferts shenanigans will be found to have been transferred to St Pierre’s offshore account. Fun, fun, fun!

In fact, the Mayor’s Office released a statement prior to Jim Letten’s news conference stating that they would not comment on any indictment which has yet to be announced, but that they have been cooperating with the US Attorney’s office all along like good little citizens. I wish I had taped the press conference, but that was the general tone of their remarks.
