Again, Mister Henry make no mention whatsoever of the fantastic wealth New Orleans possesses in terms of Art, Music & Culture.

There’s nitpicking about race in the election, saying on one hand it should be ignored and on the other, that there’s a move to put all whites into power jobs.
“All of a sudden you begin to wonder: Is there even going to be African-American representation in our elected officials?”
Hardly a color blind remark.

Please read this article from the TP, and tell me, doesn’t this guy smack of high testosterone corporate mania? He claims to be more advanced in everything than Nagin is. Yet he still seems bent on turning New Orleans culture into a corporate machine, with all of us as collateral employees.
That might just make him a better Dr Evil, instead of an evil clown.

It is not lost on me that Troy Henry was a no-show at yesterdays’ Mayoral Meeting on the value of Music & Art in New Orleans culture.

While Rob Couhig is a hypocrite (he bought a condo on Rampart Street and allegedly had King Bolden’s shut down because he didn’t like ‘the noise’), Troy Henry just couldn’t be bothered.

This feels all so familiar; We, the people who make up the City of New Orleans, are mere pawns in the Game Of Big Business and should stand aside, waiting for edicts from on high. Again.

My point is more towards his choosing the TP remarks as an isolated incident.
When it effects his coverage in a Mayoral Race, Mister Henry seems to think the color card is big deal. Let’s all get together on this.
When it’s a renegade trash czar, stealing emails and talking smack, well, la dee fuckin da. None o’my biznass, sista.

The potential here for manipulation by race baiting is distinct, as is the manipulation of opinion by selective truth.
We should all recognize these things by now.
They’ve been rammed down our throats for eight years.

Wasn’t Head accused of racism a few years back as well? I wonder if she’ll break down and cry for the cameras again this time. Personally, I’m sick of the black/white thang. It’s time to put some REAL color in office. Yellow color! Homer Simpson for Mayor!! (To those of you saying we can’t elect a cartoon, I refer you to the last eight years.)
