The 3 “Leaders” in NOLA, Bush’s Trojan Taco, the North American Union and RFID Chips…

April 21st, 2008 by NOGoddess

To follow up on Loki’s post about our not so favored visitors these next couple of days, I’d like to delve in a bit further, into that uncomfortable territory of what’s really going on behind the scenes - you know, the things that make the sheeple and even many thinking Americans start shouting “conspiracy theory.” Unfortunately, we’ve been getting duped for a long long time, long enough that there’s finally tangible proof of what’s been worked on for the last 60 years or so. Sadly, I fear the proof will do little good, that the wool has been so firmly pulled over our eyes that it’s simply too late to undo what’s been done. Words I hate to hear myself say, as I’ve always considered myself an activist and done what I’ve could to fight the fights I’ve thought needed fighting, always optimistic that we still stood some kind of chance of fighting the power’s that be. Only, it turns out that the power’s that be are little more than figureheads doing the bidding of some much more secrete entities on whose radar our activist antics don’t even register as even the tiniest of blips.

So what the hell am I talking about?

Check out this video for an overview of the real forces that have been working behind the scenes for so long and lovely new tracking devices coming soon to, well, you:

OK, I can’t figure out how to get a youtube video embedded in this here WordPress blog (despite much google research) so if anyone can clue me in, please do. In the meantime, here’s a straight up link to the video.
Fun stuff, eh?

so the saints are in the NFC championship game… but does that fix anything? maybe delays a murder? or makes us forget about the mess for a few hours? football the new opiate of the people? call me crazy but i think the grand distraction is just a distraction, none too grand…

maybe if the FEMA trailer were bigger… maybe if the gov’t had not lost my mom’s body for six weeks… maybe if the insurance companies, police dept, criminal justice system, and other institutions we relied on were more reliable… maybe if i felt like this post katrina new orleans was part of america…. then perhaps then i could get caught up in the hoopla of america’s team…. but would this happen in america? maybe hell has frozen over… check the weather channel and then BLOG THIS!

A Letter To America

November 18th, 2006 by Loki

To anyone who:

Risked their life rescuing people, gave money or goods to charitable organizations, came down to rebuild the city with their own hands, returned to the city to work, live and rebuild, lent their brainpower to the rebuilding effort, put up evacuees, counseled or gave medical treatment to the wounded, let Katrina’s children into their school, temple, mosque or church, comforted an evacuee, showed compassion and countless other acts of kindness which I am probably forgetting to mention here…

THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU

You are all heros to me. You have helped more than you can ever know, and, if I may speak on behalf of an entire region, we are grateful to you. We might be proud, but we need your help.

To anyone who:

Opened up their mouth and said that America would be better off without New Orleans, I don’t know if I can truly call you an American. Sure, you bond together when bearded foreigners attack, I give you that–but may I remind you that we’re still in this nation thing together. You don’t amputate a foot just because the big toe is broken, and let me tell you, this nation stands in part upon New Orleans.

Fortunately, it seems that those are few and far between. As a whole, Katrina has opened my eyes to the true human compassion that exists both at home and abroad. Your gifts and your support have given me a dose of optimism that I will carry for the rest of my life.

Last but not least, to anyone who thinks that New Orleans is still underwater:

It isn’t! We are reduced in capacity and humanpower, but we’re up and running. The history is still here, the culture is still here, and the people who are still here still want to see you. Unless, of course, you plan on getting really drunk on Bourbon and puking on our doorstep. Other than that–come on down. Please.
