The 3 “Leaders” in NOLA, Bush’s Trojan Taco, the North American Union and RFID Chips…

April 21st, 2008 by NOGoddess

To follow up on Loki’s post about our not so favored visitors these next couple of days, I’d like to delve in a bit further, into that uncomfortable territory of what’s really going on behind the scenes - you know, the things that make the sheeple and even many thinking Americans start shouting “conspiracy theory.” Unfortunately, we’ve been getting duped for a long long time, long enough that there’s finally tangible proof of what’s been worked on for the last 60 years or so. Sadly, I fear the proof will do little good, that the wool has been so firmly pulled over our eyes that it’s simply too late to undo what’s been done. Words I hate to hear myself say, as I’ve always considered myself an activist and done what I’ve could to fight the fights I’ve thought needed fighting, always optimistic that we still stood some kind of chance of fighting the power’s that be. Only, it turns out that the power’s that be are little more than figureheads doing the bidding of some much more secrete entities on whose radar our activist antics don’t even register as even the tiniest of blips.

So what the hell am I talking about?

Check out this video for an overview of the real forces that have been working behind the scenes for so long and lovely new tracking devices coming soon to, well, you:

OK, I can’t figure out how to get a youtube video embedded in this here WordPress blog (despite much google research) so if anyone can clue me in, please do. In the meantime, here’s a straight up link to the video.
Fun stuff, eh?

docbrite: Don’t Ever Do This

If it should ever occur to you to urge me to leave New Orleans because you saw the Al Gore movie or read the Mike Tidwell book or whatever, I have one word for you: Don’t.

I just received such an e-mail from someone who’d recently returned from Gore’s Aaaaaaaaa!!! The Planet Is Melting And We’re All Gonna Die or whatever the thing is called (and no, I’m not really making fun of the movie, though I have no interest in seeing it; while I’m not a Gore fan, I certainly believe that global warming exists and was a factor in last year’s storm, though not nearly as much of one as, oh, say, THE FAILURE OF THE FEDERAL LEVEE SYSTEM or the fact that WE NO LONGER HAVE ENOUGH COASTAL WETLANDS TO BUFFER US FROM EVEN A MEDIUM-SIZED STORM). The e-mail came from someone I like a lot, so I tried to be polite, but there is nothing that infuriates me more than a well-meaning person telling me to desert my home. If you want to help me, don’t tell me to run for the hills; write to the White House, Congress, the damn Army Corps of Engineers. Tell them to put money into wetlands restoration, give us the levees we were promised in the first place, and rebuild the homes and businesses that were destroyed by their lying negligence.

I agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD.

Day 300 3am: Sinn Fein

June 24th, 2006 by Loki

Ashley Morris: the blog: Sinn Fein: Ourselves alone

Ronnie Virgets had a great chapter in his book Say Cap entitled Sinn Fein, which means ourselves alone. That’s probably how we’re gonna get outta this mess, by ourselves. I’m not banking on anyone to do anything, because that’s part of the White House stragetizeing: wait us out until we’re bankrupt from mortgages and rent and no jobs, and then buy us out and create vinyl-sided McMansions. I think that they’re forgetting how hard-headed we are, and how we won’t bow down. They ain’t gettin’ nuttin’ from us. Especially Mardi Gras.

We have a good ten months now for that to sink in. A lot more people are taking to heart the folk wisdom of keeping a chainsaw in the attic (in case you have to cut your way out), especially now that they know help will arrive tardy and disorganised if it arrives at all.

I have been meaning to blog about this for a few days but have not really been able to compose my thoughts. Then I read Scout Prime’s post on First Draft about the NOLA Bloggers, and she mentions it there. Sinn Fein it is.

The Spanish regime burned us to the ground. The only building left was Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop (now a bar). We came back from that. as Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes said onstage at Tip’s this evening, “New Orleans is the funkiest city on Earth!” That fact, is anything, will be our salvation.
