Reuters AlertNet – Mayor: New Orleans will seek aid from other nations
Isn’t it interesting that one of the premier cities of the “most powerful nation on earth,” must resort to seeking foreign aid after a natural disaster? This is a shame and a disgrace, on that shows each of our supposed leaders as (to quote Shakespear), “a fool, and an ass and a prating coxcomb.”
The weariness I feel is almost incapacitating. At least the global community understands the significance of our heritage and our contributions to world culture.
Now I understand why my great grandfather never allowed any language but French to be spoken in his home.
