Juvenille Bring’s A Glimpse of New New Orleans’ Realities

I hve written consistenly about the feeling of abandonment that we Ne Orleanians feel in the Post-K days, about the way that the majority of mainstream media has forgotten what is going on as we struggle to make a comeback, and about the devastation that still is the norm in many areas of the city. Local rapper Juvenille filmed this video in the rubble of the Lower 9 (the 9th Ward for those of you from out of town). It is a solid view of the Nagasaki-like destruction, and a clear statement of the feelings of many New Orleanians. Even if you have no taste for rap and hip hop I highly reccomend viewing it.
