You Got Your God In My Politics! You Got Politics In My God!
The New York Times presents a very well done, and Biblically documented argument against mixing christianity and Politics. I post this as someone who simultaneously owes a lot to church groups of various denominations who helped us survive while on the run Post K but also is fed up with politicians touting religious values while pursuing self seeking ends and neglecting to attend to their responsibilities on the Gulf Coast. Whatever your views this is required reading.
Christ Among the Partisans – New York Times: “THERE is no such thing as a ‘Christian politics.’ If it is a politics, it cannot be Christian. Jesus told Pilate: ‘My reign is not of this present order. If my reign were of this present order, my supporters would have fought against my being turned over to the Jews. But my reign is not here’ (John 18:36). Jesus brought no political message or program.”
