Day 337: Hi Chris, You’re Phonebook Is Here!
As we approach the first anniversary of the deluge two things appear on our radar: Tropical Storm Chris (see Maitri’s post) and the new phone book. The phone book is a good representation of the differences between Pre and Post Katrina eras.
- There is now one phone book taking the place of the Greater New Orleans White Pages, The Kenner Phone Book, The Harahan Phone Book, and the Yellow Pages.
- It is about the size of the Pre-K Yellow Pages alone.
- It now includes a section En Espanol
- A brand spanking new. 12 page Hurricane Evacuation Planner
It is in the ordinary things that we see the extend of change this past years has brought.
