grand maw needs a loving home
This made my day.
Elly was going through the local craigslist pet listings, as is her habit, looking for signs of animal abuse or people in need of help in an animal rescue capacity. Under neworleanscraigslit>pets she found this little gem:
Grand maw needs a loving home

Date: 2008-07-28, 6:12PM CDTI have an 85 year old female who now needs a new home, we no longer have the time for her as we all work and are just to tired to take care of her when we get home. She has been with us literally for as long as I can remember, is well behaved, can sit, shake hands, bake cookies and knit you a sweater during the cold months. She comes with medical records, a food and water dish and extra oxygen cylinders. She is potty trained but you’ll have to change her dippers on occasions, she’s UTD on all vaccinations, has a hysterectomy and is heart disease free. She is basically an in door granny but we do have a thick chain you can tie her to a post in the yard if you want. I’m asking an adoption fee of $20 bucks to make sure she goes to a good home… I really hate to do this to my mom but my job is keeping me from taking care of her and my apt. is to small.
I didn’t realize she would get to be so big and so difficult to take care of.
Only in New Orleans, baby. My home sweet home.
