A Reboot and a Call for Bloggers
It has been far too long since I have posted here. I apologize. I won’t attempt to mollify you with excuses and explanations, suffice it to say that I’ve been battling against writer’s block and leave it at that.
As Rising Tide approaches I’ve been working behind the scenes on the latest reboot of HumidCity. As long time readers know, the cast of contributors here changes on an irregular basis. Some suffer blogger burnout and cease posting, some spin off onto their own blogs (like The Truth and Other Lies), and some just no longer have the time to blog.
For far too long have I left Liprap as the lonely anchor point all by herself. She has made a great second in command, but we need more voices at the megaphone. As of now I am issuing a call for contributors. Whether you are an established blogger or someone who has never written for the web makes no difference. What we are looking for is someone with a passion for both New Orleans and facts. All ideas will be considered as long as they relate to NOLA in some fashion. (I’d also appreciate it if you would pass this on to your friends!)
Please drop me an email with a link to your blog or a few writing samples and we can get the ball rolling!
To help provide a better platform I have an extensive reboot of the site in the works, possibly to launch before Rising Tide. Look for a much better interface and a lot more content as well as the new voices we hope to bring on board. This means that I will doing some training for new bloggers when they come on board, teaching the tricks and skills that I use when blogging professionally.
Get in touch, we want to see your words here!
