What Next?

Todays Tales of the Cocktail shall bring the Chicken or the Egg seminar, bringing science into the kitchen regarding flavor and ABV. A noon seminar on the 125 years of the Hotel Monteleone is next followed by the Drinking on Deadline seminar. There will be tasting rooms in between and the inevitable tub-drooling, but I’m having trouble thinking just now…

91 dead in Norway, mostly children. (Not that I’m a huge fan of kids, but they certainly didn’t fucking deserve this.) And the suspect looking at less than 21 years in jail. No death penalty over there, ya know!  Marlon Defillo betraying the public trust and getting an 84,000/year pension for it. The JP Volunteer Fire Department raping the taxpayers for hundreds of thousands… what’s next? Reality makes drinking to escape a zero-sum game and sometimes I think it would be better just to stay drunk.
