French Quarter Fest – Friday Madness

It was a long day of beautiful weather, mouth-watering food and free music everywhere. You simply could not ask for a more beautiful afternoon to go out and hit French Quarter Fest.

Full on reports will be forthcoming soon, in the meantime here are a few quick slices of yesterdays shindig on the river.

First off here a quick clip from the Esplanade Stage yesterday when Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes roared onto the stage. This electric cello will kick your ass, guaranteed!

Now that we’ve got your attention here is an array of pics from yesterday as a slide show for you. Lots more Johnny Sketch, some Kermit Ruffins, and the Consortium of Genius bringing the mad science to the riverfront! (I’ll warn you, I have not had time to sift out the dross yet. Some are good, some not so much.)
